Venture Fellow

Aspiring sustainability operations professional in the outdoor industry. Throughout my career in the outdoor industry thus far I have focused on outdoor education and adventure travel, which has provided me with skills ranging from data analysis to team leadership to event organizing and planning to curriculum development and delivery. At my current position I have further honed my skills in event planning, communication, and research.

My personal mission is to lessen the effects of climate change through the outdoor industry by increasing supply chain sustainability. The outdoor industry can not only serve as a major economic driver of the US economy, but also can shape our approach to sustainability in material production.

My vision is one where the outdoor industry leads the private sector toward more sustainable business practices. I believe the outdoor industry can lead more companies towards values that include the triple bottom line: the good for business, good for the environment, and good for people. I plan to use my experience in the outdoor industry and my skills developed in the MENV program - leadership, listening, research, systems-thinking, and communication - in conjunction with my passion for sustainability to facilitate change.
