Denver, CO - August 3rd, 2021 - Nikola Power, the Denver-based climate tech software firm, is thrilled to announce it has closed a convertible note investment with the Toronto Cleantech Investors Fund. This investment comes on the heels of inking a one-year strategic software deal with Fortune 1000 Tetra Tech, a global engineering firm.  

The investment is the first in a series of closings for Nikola Power in the current round of financing. The capital will allow Nikola Power to expand its cutting-edge Intellect Energy Management System software platform.

Nikola Power, which released Ratio, a battery sizing and analysis tool in 2019, specializes in developing innovative Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered software tools designed to expertly and more dramatically scale the distributed energy industry, will also use the funds to add energy tech talent and sales/marketing efforts to its critical work.  

“We have spent the last few years building, refining and testing our energy management analysis and operations software for the commercial, residential and microgrid sectors. With this capital, we can execute on our product roadmap and deliver a full suite of AI SaaS software tools the industry needs to scale and elevate the value of energy storage,” said Nikola Power CTO Dr. Reza Ghorbani.
